Lorena Otero leads the Intellectual Property Department in Indacochea & Asociados, where she specializes not only in the registry of trademarks, trade names, slogans, patents copyrights registry, but also carries out opposition processes, revocations and hierarchical resources to be initiated by or against the Client.

From the moment that Bolivia has a regulator which inspects companies, known as Autoridad de Fiscalización yde Empresas (AEMP), Lorena has gained skills in document analysis to determine whether the company can be fined by this Authority. Having acquired the ability to perform large due diligences of Clients documents, she is capable of identifying and preventing any risks to receive any comments or sanctions from this auditing institution.

She joined Indacochea & Asociados in 1999 complementing the diversity of the legal approaches of the Firm with her experience and emphasis in corporate aspects, through active participation in projects of mergers, acquisitions, transformations, liquidations, closures, restructuring, corporate reorganization of companies, legal audits, among others.

In 2003 she was a professor of Commercial Law at the Universidad Domingo Savio counsel, due to her expertise in commercial law.
