María José graduated summa cum laude from the Private University of Santa Cruz de la Sierra (UPSA), holds a specialization in Negotiation Strategies: Optimization of Results through Collaboration and Conflict Resolution from NYU, Stern School of Business, and is currently pursuing a Diploma in Estate Planning and International Taxation at the Universidad CEMA in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Since joining the team at Indacochea & Asociados (IA), María José has played a fundamental role in the growth and success of the practice in these key areas of law. Her academic background, client-focused legal advice, and international recognition are some of the qualities that María José has fulfilled throughout the years.
In the corporate department, she plays a leading role in planning and executing corporate restructurings, carrying out merger and acquisition projects, asset restructurings, and the formation of entities abroad for important national and international clients of IA.
María Jose heads the Intellectual Property department. Her work in this area has been particularly impressive. In less than two years, she has managed to lay foundations of the department, consolidating it as a key business unit for companies in various sectors to protect and explore their intangible assets thanks to legal advice with a creative, agile, and business-oriented approach.
